Privacy Policy — PRP Checador
PRP Checador ("the App") is a time-and-attendance application operated by PRP Construction, Inc. ("PRP", "we", "us"). It is intended exclusively for PRP's own staff and the subcontractor crews that work on PRP job sites. This policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who can use the App
The App has no public sign-up. Our office creates a worker profile in PRP's internal management system and provides each worker with a personal link code (format PRP-XXXX-XXXX). Entering that code pairs the device with the worker's profile. Without a code issued by PRP, the App cannot be used.
2. Information we collect
When you pair the App and record a check-in or check-out, we collect:
- Identity: the name and role already registered in our system for your link code. The App never asks you to type personal data.
- Attendance records: the date and time of each check-in and check-out, taken from our server's clock.
- Photo: a photo captured by the device camera at the moment of each check-in or check-out, used to verify that the person recording attendance is the paired worker.
- Location: the device's GPS coordinates at the moment of each check-in or check-out, used to verify presence at the job site. Location is read only at that moment; the App does not track location in the background.
- Technical data: basic device and app-version information sent with each request so we can troubleshoot problems.
3. How we use the information
- To keep an accurate record of hours worked on each job site.
- To calculate and pay weekly wages to subcontractor crews.
- To verify attendance and prevent errors or fraud in payroll.
- To respond to questions or disputes about hours worked.
We do not use the information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
4. Where the information is stored and who can see it
Attendance records, photos and location data are transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to PRP's management system, hosted by Render (United States) with files stored on Cloudflare R2. Access is restricted to authorized PRP office staff (administration, accounting and project management) who need it to run payroll and manage projects. We share the information only with service providers that host our systems, or when required by law, for example to document hours worked for tax or labor purposes.
5. Retention
Attendance records are kept for as long as needed to meet payroll, accounting and legal record-keeping obligations. Check-in photos are kept together with the record they verify. Workers who no longer work with PRP may ask us to deactivate their profile; records already used for payroll are retained as required by law.
6. Permissions the App requests
- Camera: to take the check-in photo.
- Location: to record the job-site position at check-in and check-out.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings; the App will then not be able to record attendance.
7. Your rights
You may ask us to see the attendance records associated with your profile, to correct an error, or to deactivate your profile. Contact our office using the details below. Where applicable law (including the California Consumer Privacy Act) gives you additional rights, we will honor them.
8. Children
The App is a workplace tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
9. Our website, cookies and advertising
This section applies to our public website, not to the App. When you visit the website or send us the contact form:
- Contact form: we keep the name, email, phone, project type, ZIP code and message you send so we can reply and prepare a quote.
- How you found us: we record the ad campaign or website that brought you to us (for example, UTM tags or a Facebook click ID in the link) so we can tell which advertising works.
- Meta Pixel and Conversions API: we use tools from Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram) that set cookies and share events such as page views, contact-form submissions, and clicks to call or message us. When you send the form, your email, phone, name and ZIP code are converted into an irreversible code (hashed) before being shared with Meta, which uses them to measure and improve our ads. You can control ad personalization in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
We do not sell your personal information.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be communicated to workers through the office.
